AEPC

Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) is a Government institution established on November 3, 1996, under the Ministry of Science and Technology with the objective of developing and promoting renewable/alternative energy technologies in Nepal. Currently, it is under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. It functions independently and has an eleven members board with representatives from the government sector, industry sector and non-governmental organizations.

BSP-Nepal

BSP-Nepal was established as an NGO in 2003 to take over the implementation responsibility of Biogas Support
Programme (BSP), a program run by SNV Nepal from July 1992 to June 2003. BSP-N was created as a national level organization with responsibility to substantially increase the access of rural people of Nepal to biogas as a clean energy solution. BSP-N has been successful with the technical and financial support of Alternative Energy Promotion Center (AEPC) to contribute in installing more than 0.5 million household biogas plants particularly in rural areas of Nepal.
